Listen Mp3 Online to Beat Insomnia, says study

In this hectic world, a good night’s sleep means a lot. Insufficient sleep can lead to higher incidence of behavioral problems, especially attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

A research now popular on Indian social networking sites, shows that those who listen mp3 online (or even offline), can shorten stage two sleep cycles.
This study also found that people who listened to at least 45 minutes of music before bed saw the time it took them to reach restful REM sleep get shorter over three weeks.
When we listen mp3 online or any kind of online music, it acts upon our central nervous system. Each track has some anti-anxiety and relaxing effects.
Around 30 percent of adults experience chronic insomnia at some point in their life where sleep is disrupted for more than a month. The figures are higher in older people and those who have regular stress.

  • Did you know your mp3 free music contains the ingredient to music therapy? This ingredient is ‘’binaural beats”, found in many mp3 songs. They stimulate your brain to a high level of relaxation like a meditated state

  • Special music online is given to patients where binaural beats are set to certain frequencies. These frequencies in songs stimulate a certain part of your brain.

  • Experts advise people to use headphones when they listen mp3 online for best results.

  • Although most of the online music is electronic these days, music therapy requires that you listen mp3 which is soft, relaxing. For instance, online music sites have sounds of nature like waterfalls, birds, sea waves, etc.

  • Look for music online with a slow and stable rhythm (a tempo of 60 to 80 beats per minute). A good place to find low-frequency tones and relaxing melodies is on mp3 free music

The Science Behind Deep Sleep

Binaural beats are a high tech solution to enter into a quick state deep relaxation so you can fall asleep fast.
Following are the brainwave frequencies that affect our sleep and alertness:
  • Beta (13 – 40 Hz)– Active and alert
  • Alpha (8 -12 Hz)– Relax and calm
  • Theta (4 – 8 Hz)– moderately drowsy, light sleep and dreams
  • Delta (less than 4 Hz)– Deep sleep

Our journey from normal waking state, to all the way to delta is important. Binaural beats in mp3 songs are a scientifically proven way to speed up this process. Hence, you get to the delta state quicker and as a result fall asleep faster.

Go for the Usual

The study on music for sleep also shows that we tend to sleep best around the usual stuff.
If you do like to listen to latest music songs or search online music for some classical tunes, then there’s some bad news. Expert say that whatever mp3 songs you play, make sure they are not disruptive.
So avoid Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture , or old Bollywood songs, you might have a strong emotional reaction to (either positively or negatively). Go neutral with your online music. Go usual.
The jury is still out on whether to listen mp3 online (or offline) to beat insomnia is beneficial for those restless nights. But if it does work for people, then its wonderful.
