CAT 2017 Results are Out: Know the details

 

The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2017 results are out. They were declared today by the IIM Lucknow. CAT exam is for admission to various management courses across Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other top management colleges in the country.


CAT 2017 result is now available to the official IDs of the students.

How to check CAT 2017 Result Online?


Candidates can check their scores on the official CAT 2017 website – iimcat.ac.in.

Those who crack CAT 2017, their name and roll number will be made available on the website of the respective IIMs. Firstly, each IIM will send interview letters to the shortlisted candidates directly. Secondly, the criteria for shortlisting vary for each IIM and other B-schools.

  1. Go to official CAT result website: iimcat.ac.in
  2. Click on the link for CAT 2017 Score Card
  3. Enter your login id and password
  4. Click on Submit
  5. View and download your score card

CAT result is in the form of percentile score with 100 percentile being the maximum.


Other Useful Info

  • CAT exam is conducted by IIMs for admission to post graduate management programmes at 20 IIMs.

  • The CAT scores are also valid at – non-IIM institutes such as MDI Gurgaon, SPJIMR Mumbai, JBIMS Mumbai, FMS Delhi etc.

  • These scores are valid for one year. And,  can be downloaded from the website within a period of one year.

  • At least 20 candidates have scored an overall 100 percentiles. But, only two female candidates and three non-engineers are among top 20.

  • Previous year, all top scorers were male engineers


What Next?

The IIMs will now start the shortlisting process for selection rounds. This upcoming process includes Academic Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI). Students can still revise the previous material through free online test or online mock test.

Candidates for these rounds are primarily on the basis of their percentile and academic performance.
