Follow these Tips before CBSE Class 12 Mathematics Exam
There is hardly any time left as CBSE Class 12 students are doing their final preparation for their Mathematics examination. March 21 is the date, when the fate of millions of students will be sealed.
While for many students, maths is the source of anxiety, others see it as a way to boost overall marks. And, it is not just limited to CBSE Boards. Even higher courses like JEE (Mains), JEE (Advanced), NEET question paper also require aspirants to brush up their math skills
And since the revision time is upon us, glancing quickly at mock test paper or mock exam online is fine.
But, follow these tips regarding marking scheme for overall preparation for CBSE Class 12 mathematics exam –
Mock test paper and previous year papers aren’t enough if a student isn’t well-aware of marking scheme.
- For best scores, students should know how to answer a question, which steps to include and which to ignore. And, this applies for other exams like JEE Mains and CAT 2018 Check out model answer sheets by CBSE for reference
- In 2017 most students found the class 12 math exam to be lengthy, but ‘easy’ too. While most questions were from NCERT textbook, in two sets of paper, the six marks question from application of derivatives was not from textbook
- This year the question paper will consist of questions carrying; 1 mark, 2 marks, 4 marks and 6 marks. A total of 3 hours will be given to the candidates for a 100 marks paper. Choices will however be given for long answer type questions. This pattern also exists on mock exam online
- Many students either do not know or do not remember, that in mathematics, step marks can also get marks. There is a mark for every step that a student pens down. For instance, a 6 marks question will have the following step wise marking scheme –
